January 25th/26th – 3rd Rotation – Students watched the movie “Separate but Equal”, which talked about court case in South Carolina in the 1950′s. It was landmark decision to end segregation in the South. We watched the 1st 34 minutes, then last 30 minutes with information of the verdict.
I have expressed that Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren wanted to make this 9-0 decisions so there would not be any more issues in regards to segregation. They got to see how court decisions are based and persuasion of other judges.
